When I ask a question, it gets lost on the board as more questions are posted and I cannot find it to see if anyone answered.
The boards are getting very popular. For this reason a post can easily get lost within a couple of days. The best thing to do is to "bookmark" your post (or add it to your favorites), and then check it for answers periodically. If no one has answered it after a couple of days you can respond to it yourself, and it will be brought back up to the top of the list.
What are these abbreviations that people use?
Internet discussion boards have spawned their own language, and to save time a number of people use acronyms to express common sayings. There's plenty more, but here's a few you'll probably see on 3dfxgamers.com:
