Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, MSI ha lanciato il notebook GX620, che risulta essere tra i primi sul mercato ad implementare la piattaforma Centrino 2 presentata ufficialmente ieri da Intel.

MSI ha posto l'accento sul supporto, integrato nel GX620, della tecnologia proprietaria Turbo Drive Engine, che permette di incrementare la velocità del processore centrale mediante una semplice pressione su un pulsante della tastiera, e della tecnologia ECO Engine, che permette di "switchare" manualmente tra cinque differenti profili per il consumo energetico ("Gaming", "Movie", "Presentation", "Office" e "Turbo Battery") e di ridurre, in ultima analisi, il consumo di potenza.

Dal punto di vista strettamente connesso all'hardware, il GX620 include un processore Intel Core 2 Duo a 45nm, installato su una motherboard con chipset PM45 Express; la sezione grafica è stata implementata mediante il ricorso a una gpu GeForce 9600M GT di NVIDIA, abbinata ad un display LCD da 15.4-inch.
