ASUS ha lanciato di recente il tablet VivoTab Smart equipaggiato con uno schermo HD da 10.1-inch e configurato con il Sistema Operativo Windows 8 di Microsoft.

Il nuovo VivoTab Smart, che il produttore definisce idoneo sia per il lavoro che per l'intrattenimento, vanta un processore Intel dual-core, ovvero l'Atom Z2760, con il quale è possibile ottenere una buona potenza di calcolo abbinata a una durata della batteria che può raggiungere le 9.5 ore.

Uno degli aspetti più interessanti del tablet VivoTab Smart è certamente rappresentato dal display da 10.1-inch, che è realizzato con l'ausilio di un pannello IPS e LED-backlit, che garantisce immagini nitide e definite (la risoluzione dello schermo è pari infatti a 1366 x 768 pixel).

La piena compatibilità del display con Windows 8 è certificata dal supporto del multi-touch a 5 punti, ovvero questo tablet può gestire fino a 5 input dell'utente simultaneamente, anche se il computer può essere controllato con la tastiera wireless (opzionale) denominata TranSleeve Keyboard.
