The Document Foundation (TDF) annuncia LibreOffice 3.4.5, una nuova versione ulteriormente migliorata della suite libera per ufficio, per Windows, Mac e Linux, che risolve una serie di bug e migliora la stabilità del programma.

LibreOffice 3.4.5 rappresenta la scelta migliore nell'ambito delle suite libere da ufficio, per tutti gli utenti, compresi quelli aziendali che stavano ancora usando LibreOffice 3.3.4.

Nel 2011, LibreOffice ha vinto l'InfoWorld's BOSSIE Award 2011 come Best of Open Source Software, e l'Open World Forum Experiment Award come Most-Popular Software. I due premi dimostrano la qualità dei miglioramenti apportati al codice legacy dal piccolo esercito di circa 400 sviluppatori che collaborano con TDF.
