New Features

Catayst for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition introduces dual core support for CPU bound cases. This feature provides improved graphics performance for DX 9 supported graphics adapters installed in systems running the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, or Windows XP operating systems.

Resolved Issues

The following section provides a summary of the issues that have been resolved in the latest version of Catalyst for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. These include:

  • Enabling clone mode followed by playing a video clip no longer results in the underscan/overscan option failing to working when using Theater mode.
  • Connecting an Apple 30 inch dual link display device to an ATI Radeon X1800 series using the interlink dongle, no longer results in only two display mode being available in the Catalyst Control Center
  • Running either the Ruby Demo Dangerous Curves or Double Cross under Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, with CrossFire enabled no longer results in errors and checkered pattern corruption being noticed

Known Issues

The following section provides a summary of open issues in the latest version of Catalyst for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. These include:

  • Using Movie Maker 2.1 to capture video under Windows XP Professional x64 Edition results in the captured video being corrupt. Further details can be found in topic number 737-19820
  • Call of Duty 2: Playing the game on a system running the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and with a dual link display capable of 2560x1600 32bpp may result in an off center display that is black in color. Further details can be found in topic number 737-21182
