Q. My God, NuAngel, what are you doing now?

Long story short, the guys at 3Dhq (www.tdhq.net) have yet to provide the public much of the stuff they've been saying they would for over a year.  And while this driver set isn't really going to do it, either - it's going to get us all one step closer.

The files included are based on my NuDriver 2K set, AND the Direct 3D from a closed-beta that was released from 3Dhq/3dfx Underground on 9/18/02.

Q. 3Dhq is up to Beta *N* - why release older things of theirs?

A. At the time of release for this driver, all I can say is that all of the beta drivers I've tried from 3dHQ have had more problems than the last.  I can't speak for everyone, but if you're having issues with 3Dhq's drivers, but my drivers (or anyone else's) can't give you the DX8 texture support you need for most any EAGames out there, THIS is probably the driver set you've been praying for.

Q. Did you get permission from 3Dhq to release this?

A. Nope!  But in the name of "ONE STEP FORWARD" I'm going ahead with my decision to release a 3+ month old couple of beta files.

Q. Why did you include 3dfx Tools with this driver, and none of your others?

A. This is likely the last driver release I will ever make.  I might as well provide the public with things they'll need before I go.

Q. Is this driver compatible with Windows XP?

A. I have no idea.  Untested in XP - but I doubt it.  Sorry, but I've never figured out Windows XP, and due to it's poor resource management, I don't recommend it for gaming anyways.  (On average, Windows XP will use 103 MB RAM, if you're still using a Voodoo 5, admit it, you probably don't have the most cutting edge machine.  And if you're running any less than 256MB of RAM, I would not even suggest you use Windows XP.  But that's an entirely different topic).
