Hi,
I have a Voodoo3 3000 and am running Windows XP. I am trying to play starcraft but when I load it up the screen is distorted. By this I mean the sides of the screen curve outwards, this means that I cannot see the sides of the screen and everything on it looks distorted. I do remember having this problem before with the original GTA but I resolved it by using a different 3rd party driver. However I have tried the new SFFT, Amiga 3.0 and 2.5, and dozer 1.1, and none have resolved the problem.
If anyone has experienced the same problem and found a solution or if you can just recommend a driver to use, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot

As Starcraft is a 2D-only game, I think this problem is related to the refresh rates.
Try to set other values in the monitor properties or use a 3rd party program like powerstrip.
Maybe VControl can help, too.

Hi,
Rolo01 you are a genius, I lowered the refresh rate from 85Hz to 75Hz and it works perfectly. Do you know if either PowerStrip or Vcontrol has the ability to make the refresh rate change from 85 to 75 when a game loads, so I dont have to change it myself? Also can you recommend which program is best?

Thanks alot

I am not sure, Powerstrip may have the ability to create profiles for games. I have to check this when I am at home again, at sunday evening.

I had a look at V_Control and Powerstrip as well.
Powerstrip can create profiles for applications, but you cannot set the refreshrate.
So I guess the only way is to do it manually.
