Title: VooDoo 5500 Installation "Language Not Supp" Error
Post by: 3DKen on 11 July 2005, 18:08:48
Hi,
I'm trying to install a VooDoo 5 5500 on Windows 95 (I'm setting up a TEST environment) and am getting an error.  "The language of this installation package is not supported by your system"  This is a fresh install of Windows 95, and I even put DX 8.0 on it to see if that would make a difference and it didn't.  Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Thanks to everyone at this forum!  Before I waste anyone's time, the problem has been resolved.  It had something to do with installing the original driver, DX 7.0 or IE 5.0 off the 3DFX original driver CDROM.  I also loaded some Motherboard chipset drivers but I'm not sure that would have impacted it or not.  Anyway, if anyone experiences any other issues similar to this and needs an exact copy of the CDROM media, I have an FTP site or feel free to email me and I'd be happy to zip it up for you.  Thanks again everyone.

I think that the problem is more related to the package for the Voodoo 5 than the mobo driver.
