Italian web site named Nexthardware just published some photos preview of 3dfx Rampage video card, the height of 3dfx technology development which was manufactured in very few samples for hardware testing only. The card, Lite version of Rampage named family, is so a device of exceptional rarity.
Some odd details are visible as an external supply connector (first photo) which could assure higher power for high consumption topologies (this card use only motherboard signals).
Monitor link requires an interface circuit named Dongle for level and impedance adjustment (third photo).
This prototype is supplied with DDR Synchronous Dram memory chips (fourth photo) by Samsung: maximum clock frequency is 166mhz, maximum data rate is 366mbps/pin.
